maremoto is an RIAI     registered architecture & interior design studio based in Dublin, Ireland led by Rob Curley & Alfonso Bonilla.

We design architecture and interior design solutions for residential and commercial clients, catered to a variety of budgets and scales.
Our past & ongoing projects include residential extensions & renovations, bespoke one-off homes, residential & mixed-use commercial developments, commercial fit-outs as well as cultural exhibitions and lectures.

Rob Curley
MRIAI | M.Arch | B.Sc.Arch | P.Dip

Rob is a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland & holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from University College Dublin, with studies at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

He has previously worked for award winning practices in Ireland including ODOS Architects and RKD Architects, and has a wide range of experience on residential projects including one-off homes on complex sites as well as complete design of luxury residential interiors.

Rob is also highly experienced on commercial mixed-use & office development projects including full-time site supervision, overseeing & coordinating high-end fit-outs in the multi-award winning 100,000sqm Dublin Landings mixed-use development in the Dublin Docklands Strategic Development Zone.

Rob is also an accomplished painter & designer of stained glass works. He is passionate about sustainable urban development and is a regular contributor on housing policy issues in Ireland.

Alfonso Bonilla
MRIAI | M.Arch | B.Arch Urb | P.Dip

Alfonso is a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland & a member of the RIAI Housing Taskforce Committee. He holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from University College Dublin with studies at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and a Bachelors Degree in Architecture & Urbanism from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Alfonso has previously worked for award winning practices in Ireland, Mexico and Canada including MVK, The House Architects, Zozaya Arquitectos and Michael Green Architecture gaining vast experience on luxury residential projects in complex urban sites & sensitive coastal environments and innovative educational projects such as the development of the Wood Innovation Design Centre, the then world’s tallest all-timber building now serving as a gathering place for researchers, academics, and design professionals generating ideas for innovative uses of wood.

Alfonso is also an accomplished sculptor and an amateur surfer. His studies on Environmental Law, Urban Development and Asset Urbanism inform his approach to architecture's political implications and public engagement on urban & housing policy.
